LETTING GO IS SOMETIMES HARDER THAN YOU THINK

The past can haunt our minds, our soul, our being.

Why do we let it control us?

We walk the wide and not the narrow.

When do we surrender?

He is there with His hand stretched out,

He wont meet us half way,

all He asks is we turn around and there He is.

He meets us where we are.

We fight and cry and stand our ground

We don't know how to just turn around

We keep looking at what has been and

are afraid of what can be.

Afraid of what the past has scarred

Scared to let Him mend our heart

Torn between the past and present

Wanting so bad what the future promises.

Let go...

how can two words..

be the most frightening words

that will ever change us

The Brazen Altar was the place that represented repentance in the tabernacle. The high priest would bring the young lamb to the Brazen Altar and sacrifice it. Jesus took the place of the lamb, and the cross took the place of the Brazen Altar! Before salvation can take place there has to be a place of repentance. Notice that the Brazen Altar is at the foot of the Cross, That is where we want to stay!
